Aloha! My name is Anna Misako Hudson and I am running for State Senate District 17.
I am a devoted wife, a mother of two adult children, an active retiree, and homeowner.
I have a strong desire to serve God and this community. I am compelled to do what is best for the overall state and welfare of Hawaii.
If elected, I hope to restore trust in leadership, through *Accountability, *Community Input, and *Transparency
I have 31 years of experience working in municipal government. As a public servant, I was responsible for offering quality programs and services to the community while maintaining a balanced budget. I was often asked to seek ways to do more with less money and resources.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Masters in Public Administration from CSULB. I am a graduate of Yokota High School which is located on an U.S. Air Force Base in Tokyo Japan. As a military dependent, I moved frequently and attended ten schools growing up. Through my experiences living on the mainland and abroad, I learned to appreciate different cultures and embrace the community where I live, work and play.
My husband, Ed and I had a life-long dream to reside in Hawaii after our honeymoon in Hawaii, and where Hawaii
became our regular vacation stay. When our daughter was accepted to University of Hawaii, Manoa, graduated and
hired as a teacher, our dream to live and become a Hawaii resident was set in motion.
Currently I volunteer as the Hawaii Republican Party Membership Coordinator, and the County Regional
Vice Chair of Central Oahu GOP. I also have served as an administrative leader for Bible Study Fellowship International for the past 15 years.
If elected, I hope to create a statewide task force utilizing the collective knowledge of experts and available resources.
We must prioritize and address statewide issues, like the high cost of living, affordable housing,
and to improve the educational system to prepare our future generation for success.
